Adjusting Hole Scores Before Posting

The World Handicap System merged with the USGA GHIN system in 2020. With this came a change to how scores must be adjusted prior to posting for handicap purposes. The old "Equitable Stroke Control" system was replaced by "Net Double Bogey".

All Club Members MUST adjust all high scores on individual holes prior to posting your scores in GHIN for handicap purposes. There's two ways to make sure you get this right:

  • The EASY Way - just post your scores using the Hole-by-Hole posting option on the GHIN Mobile App, the Internet, or the Clubhouse computer. By doing this, it will AUTOMATICALLY adjust any abnormally high individual hole scores for you and show it to you before you post the score. EASY - WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS METHOD!

  • The HARD Way - read and familiarize yourself with the Net Double Bogey system using the following links, make hole-by-hole adjustments manually, and then post.

Under no circumstances should a round not be posted because a member didn't finish a hole (use net double bogey on that hole) nor should a score be posted that includes strokes that exceed net double bogey
